Surfcontrol will store as many quarantined messages as you have space for......on a normal day I scan\release\delete 2-3 times.

By default there are 3 quarantine folders these can be added to - I have one each for virus payloads, spam, multimedia attachments, executables/scripts.

each displays the number of mails held within it
